How will the Post Order update make ordering badges easier?

Post Order update 2024 notes

The latest update to Veonics is designed to enhance the user experience by simplifying the process of changing badge statuses and removing certain unnecessary features.

Some of the improvements on this update are as follows –

Streamlined Post Order workflow -

  • Added badge record status: "Ordered"
  • New workflow:
    1. Select badges in "Approved" state
    2. Click the button
    3. A window will pop up to confirm how many badges are being ordered, or it will warn if steps not done correctly.

    4. After clicking OK, badges are moved into "Ordered" status, with a shopping cart icon in the status field.

We believe this will provide better visibility of which badges have been ordered and thus reduce user error with ordering. There are no other changes to the workflow.

Notes:

*The Post Order button must be clicked for eXpress badging to see your order.

*If you do not receive the confirmation email from Veonics, then we may not have received the order. Please confirm badges are in "Ordered" status and try again, if not.

*Badges will need to be in an "Ordered" status to be printed. Badges in any other status will not be printed.

Removal of certain badge record statuses:

  • Received
  • Not Received
  • Lost
  • Stolen
  • Reissued**

(Current badge records in above statuses will be deleted)

(Users will no longer be able to move records into these statuses)

If there are any questions or concerns about the new process change or the history of badge issuance – please reach out to our team.

Notes:

**When the Reissue button is clicked – a new, duplicate record is automatically generated. Therefore, there is no risk of data loss from deletion of records in a “Reissued” state.

*** The Reissue button will be removed due to its infrequent and often incorrect use, as it is not essential for badge printing and issuance.

It will still be possible to audit badge history of an individual record via the History button in Single Card View.

Reprints of existing badges will now be exclusively done using the Reprint button.
