What to expect when enabling the Veonics® Portal Credential Database API.

When exporting source data for import into the Veonics Portal, the Credential Database VCDB API allows for an almost real-time interface. The VCDB API is solely for Portal import purposes.

The VCDB API setup and termination process should only be handled by an IT expert. eXpress badging does not offer a tutorial for this technical task. The IT expert assigned can seek assistance from the eXpress badging Technical Support team member or sales representative if one is available.

VCDB API Setup Steps

1. When a customer provides eXpress badging with a user name and email address, eXpress badging assigns the user API/Request Token permissions within the Veonics Portal live instance.
2. The User is automatically sent instructions to log in and set their password.  
3. eXpress badging sends the user an apidoc link; the online documentation for API usage.

4. The user can use the API with any Record Profile they can access. However, only Veonics Portal Record Setup fields with public visibility are available to the API.
