The Veonics Portal Ecosystem
The Veonics Portal is a cloud-based identity management platform focusing on physical and virtual identification. It features an open architecture allowing eXpress badging® as well as third-party products to enhance its capabilities and meet unique business needs. Currently, Veonics offers the following components:
- Veonics Portal: This cloud-based platform securely manages identity and photo information and includes a remote photo capture email tool called Veonics CELLfie™ and the Veonics Virtual ID.
- Veonics Credential Database (VCDB): Uses an SFTP or API model. This is a 100% hosted service application where a local SQL database authenticates and synchronizes identity and photo information to their Veonics® Portal instance.
- Veonics Print Queue Manager (VPQM): This desktop-based lightweight application can retrieve cards marked for printing in a Veonics® Portal instance and print them in the configured local printer. The application supports plugins to handle specialized functions in card printers, such as encoding or reading magnetic stripes, RFID, or contact chips.
The relationship among these components is summarized in the following diagram.
