Browser
Chrome is the recommended browser while using the Veonics® Portal. However, other browsers can be used, ideally the most recent version. Within the rules of a network, is recommended to assign Chrome as the default browser, and it should always be enabled. We also need the customer to access items on their desktops via the browser.
Other tips
- The Veonics Credential Database (VCDB) and Veonics Print Queue Manager (VPQM) require different protocols to be in place.
- VCDB requires access to the SOAP protocol to communicate with the Veonics Portal.
- SOAP uses 443, the same as HTTPS
- Whitelist portal.veonics.com
- Whitelist applications like Chrome and the VPQM
- HTML tag for file sends the website the file name
- The browser brings up the dialogue and might be blocking it before it reaches File Explorer.
