How to Correctly Submit Employee Signatures for Badge Printing

For the sake of high quality printing, our preference is for the customer to only provide digital signatures. The individual signs in black on a white background in a program such as MS Paint, where their real signature can be captured:

Here are some other options:

Use MS Word, and type the full name in a cursive font to simulate a signature:

If you have a scanner that can switch from Color/Grayscale mode into a Black & White mode, you can capture the physical signature effectively as well:

When scanning the most critical factor is the scanned image only showing 2 colors: black and white. Only true white will print on the badge as white. Any shade of gray or color (like the image below) will print as black, which will produce a poor quality print.

After all signatures have been captured according to the above guidelines, the next step is to ensure they are saved as image files and are named using a consistent naming convention.

- Please save signature files as either JPG or PNG formats

- Pick a naming convention and make sure all signature files use it. Ex. lastname_firstname.jpg or employeeID#.png.
