Purpose

This article defines the eXpress badging® Marketing Plan and the major growth activities used to support profitable growth. It is intended to keep Leadership, Sales, and Marketing aligned on what the company is doing to create, capture, and convert demand, while separating the strategic plan from the detailed procedures used to execute individual marketing activities.

The plan also establishes a common framework for evaluating whether marketing and business-development investments are producing qualified opportunities, new-business sales, customer expansion, and profitable growth.

Marketing Plan

eXpress badging® will pursue profitable growth by concentrating resources on the markets, customer problems, and growth channels that best support our long-term position as a solutions and platform provider, rather than a commodity box mover.

Our Marketing Plan is to:

  • Target U.S.-based organizations with 1,000 or more employees, students, or members across Healthcare and Business markets.
  • Focus on decision-makers and influencers in Security, Operations, Human Resources, Information Technology, Membership Services, ID Badging, and Procurement.
  • Lead our 2026 market strategy with the You Print model, while continuing to develop We Print opportunities where outsourcing solves meaningful customer problems.
  • Position eXpress badging® around secure, same-day badge issuance, operational confidence, data control, expert support, and the ability to consolidate badge-related solutions with one knowledgeable provider.
  • Prepare the market for the introduction of our next-generation SaaS ID management platform while continuing to grow our existing software, systems, production, and service relationships.
  • Maintain a strong digital presence through website content, the online shopping store, paid search, email marketing, social media, and search visibility.
  • Capture high-intent website demand through Sinapi lead forms and move qualified inquiries into the Sales process.
  • Continue outbound prospecting using targeted contact data, email, telephone outreach, LinkedIn, and direct sales engagement, while requiring measurable results from outsourced prospecting investments.
  • Expand strategic face-to-face selling through key-account visits, key-prospect visits, manufacturer relationships, partner events, and selected industry conferences.
  • Use selective sponsorships and event participation where they strengthen brand visibility, industry relationships, or qualified lead generation.
  • Increase focus on existing-customer expansion, cross-selling, and account penetration where established trust creates opportunities to add more value.
  • Continuously evaluate marketing investments and reallocate resources toward the channels producing the strongest qualified pipeline, new-business revenue, gross profit, and long-term customer value.
  • Support company growth while maintaining expense discipline and protecting the company's objective of building toward a 15% to 20% EBITDA business.

Target Market and Buying Triggers

eXpress badging® targets U.S.-based organizations with 1,000 or more employees, students, or members across Healthcare and Business markets.

Primary decision-makers and influencers include:

  • Security
  • Operations
  • Human Resources
  • Information Technology
  • Membership Services
  • ID Badging
  • Procurement

In 2026, our primary marketing focus is the You Print model. Market shifts toward instant gratification and lower system costs have accelerated in-house badging adoption, making secure same-day issuance and local data control increasingly important customer considerations.

Outsourced We Print badging remains an important solution for organizations dealing with:

  • Large-scale fulfillment requirements
  • Multi-location deployments
  • Rebadging or branding initiatives
  • Technology upgrades
  • Merger and acquisition activity
  • Staffing or operational constraints
  • Tight implementation timelines

Our strategy is grounded in uncovering the urgency behind why a customer is motivated to buy and aligning the appropriate eXpress badging® solution with that operational trigger.

Customer Psychographics and Vetting Issues

Understanding what the customer is worried about is central to eXpress badging® messaging, content, lead qualification, and consultative selling.

We Print Psychographics

Customers considering outsourced badge printing may be thinking:

  1. We are intimidated by the scope of a large badging project.
  2. We must meet a tight deadline and print badges on time and correctly the first time.
  3. We do not want to print all these badges ourselves.
  4. We are overwhelmed with too many accountabilities.
  5. We think we have to print our own badges.

We Print Vetting Issues

Customers may need confidence that:

  1. They can justify the price for outsourced printing.
  2. eXpress badging® can handle the project size.
  3. eXpress badging® can print an ID badge that looks and works exactly as required.
  4. eXpress badging® can deliver the final product within the required timeline.
  5. eXpress badging® has processes to protect the organization's data.
  6. eXpress badging® will make the project easier to manage.

You Print Psychographics

Customers considering an in-house badging solution may be thinking:

  1. We already have a system, but are looking for more value or capability.
  2. We are looking for additional guidance to make the right system decision.
  3. We need more supplies for our system and are indifferent to vendor selection.
  4. We need to find a new vendor because our current one is not meeting our expectations.
  5. We need to have the items easily and quickly for same-day badge issuance.
  6. We do not believe another company can handle this effectively.
  7. We cannot share our employee data with external organizations.

You Print Vetting Issues

Customers may need confidence that:

  1. eXpress badging® can support their hardware and software.
  2. eXpress badging® is an authorized representative of the manufacturers' products being offered.
  3. eXpress badging® can provide the products they need at a competitive price.
  4. eXpress badging® has processes to protect their organization's data.
  5. Orders can be delivered quickly.
  6. They can consolidate vendors and reduce complexity.

Positioning and Differentiators

eXpress badging® differentiates through an integrated combination of software, production capability, technical knowledge, and customer support.

Veonics Portal
We own, use, maintain, and support our own cloud-based badging photo ID management software.

Photo ID Badge Printing
We support both operating models: We Print for the customer, or You Print at the customer's location.

Knowledgebase
Customers and employees have access to decades of developed badge-printing and card-technology knowledge.

Extreme Customer Experience
Customers can contact us by phone or email and receive responsive assistance from people who understand badging systems, production, software, supplies, and implementation issues.

Our marketing should consistently reinforce that eXpress badging® is a solutions and platform provider capable of helping customers manage the broader badging problem, not simply a reseller of printers, cards, or supplies.

Growth Channels and Marketing Investments

eXpress badging® currently uses a broad mix of digital, outbound, relationship, partner, and event-based growth activities.

Website Content

The public website and Knowledgebase establish credibility, answer customer questions, support organic search visibility, and help buyers evaluate eXpress badging® before engaging with Sales.

Website Shopping Store

The online store supports customers and prospects who prefer a direct purchasing path for systems, supplies, accessories, and related products.

Paid Search and Search Management

PPC is managed with SearchKings and remains a core demand-capture channel for customers actively searching for badging systems, supplies, printing services, software, and related solutions.

Sinapi Website Lead Capture

Sinapi forms capture website visitors who are ready to begin a more structured inquiry, including customers evaluating We Print solutions.

Outbound Calling and Prospect Development

Leads to Scale is currently used for outsourced outbound calling and new-lead development. SalesIntel provides targeted contact information used for prospect development, outbound calling, and HubSpot email marketing.

FCMO and Marketing Leadership Development

Jamie Goswieler provides fractional CMO support that includes outbound email marketing, SalesIntel contact harvesting and ingestion into HubSpot, social content, images, website and content direction, marketing-project consulting, and coaching Kevin in his development toward the Marketing Director role.

LinkedIn

Upgraded LinkedIn accounts support professional networking, target-account research, prospecting, industry visibility, and direct relationship development.

Industry Conferences and Partner Events

Events such as GSX and ISC West serve multiple purposes, including industry knowledge acquisition, peer networking, manufacturer relationship development, and lead generation.

Partner participation can create additional leverage. An example is Dalton's invitation to participate with the eXpress badging® manufacturer's representative at the IDP Americas booth during the 2026 Cardlock Fuel Network Conference, which is focused on the oil and gas market.

Sponsorships and Experiential Marketing

GrowFL and CEO Nexus events create opportunities to demonstrate eXpress badging® capabilities through sponsored badge production while strengthening visibility and relationships within the business community.

Strategic Account and Prospect Visits

Direct face-to-face engagement remains an important sales and marketing activity for selected customers and high-value prospects. Dalton's visits to key customers have reinforced the value of personal relationships and should be treated as a measurable growth channel rather than an informal sales activity.

Historical Event Marketing

Earlier in the company's history, eXpress badging® became a major HR Florida event sponsor across more than 14 events annually, including local chapter conferences, the State HR Florida Conference, and an invitation-only CHRO event.

After more than 10 years, the estimated cost of lead acquisition was just under $2,000 per sale, which contributed to the strategic shift away from broad conference participation and toward PPC and website marketing.

HR remains a point of contact within some target organizations. Future HR-focused events should therefore remain available for selective evaluation rather than automatically returning to the prior broad sponsorship model.

Sinapi Lead Capture and Website Conversion

Sinapi should be treated as an important part of the eXpress badging® growth system because it converts website interest into structured Sales inquiries. Sinapi is primarily a lead-capture and conversion mechanism, not necessarily the original acquisition source. A prospect may first arrive through PPC, organic search, email, LinkedIn, a referral, or another channel and then submit a Sinapi form.

The current We Print starting form is available here:

We Print Starting Form

Sales currently estimates that approximately 60% of incoming leads originate through Sinapi forms, and that the close rate on these leads is approximately 60% or higher.

These estimates indicate that Sinapi may be one of the company's strongest demand-capture and conversion tools. Because these figures are currently based on Sales reporting rather than a fully validated attribution model, they should be treated as a high-priority measurement opportunity in HubSpot.

The strategic objective is to ensure that high-intent website visitors have a clear path to engage with eXpress badging®, that Sinapi submissions are identifiable as the conversion method, that the original acquisition source is preserved where known, and that the lead's progression from inquiry to opportunity to sale can be measured.

2026 Performance Baseline and Lessons Learned

The 2026 marketing review produced several important management observations.

  • eXpress badging® has invested approximately $102,000 year to date in Advertising and Marketing across the growth activities described in this plan.
  • The company has generated more than $400,000 in new-business sales during the same period.
  • Company sales are tracking toward a record year, with revenue growth continuing while EBITDA has improved.
  • Advertising spending is lower than the prior year, which may indicate improved growth efficiency, but current attribution is not sufficient to prove which specific marketing investments caused the new-business sales.
  • The company's challenge is not a lack of marketing activity. The company is already active across digital, outbound, content, partner, event, website, and direct-sales channels.
  • The larger management gap is visibility into which activities consistently create qualified opportunities, qualified pipeline, won revenue, gross profit, and long-term customer value.
  • Leads to Scale has not produced qualified opportunities to date and therefore represents an immediate example of why marketing investments require defined performance expectations and a continue, modify, or stop decision.
  • Existing-customer visits, manufacturer relationships, partner events, and strategic face-to-face selling may be underrepresented in traditional marketing reporting even though they can create meaningful pipeline and long-term account value.
  • Website lead capture, particularly through Sinapi, appears to be a significant source of qualified demand and deserves formal source attribution.

A key lesson is that total company revenue should not be treated as marketing-attributed revenue. Marketing performance should instead be evaluated against the qualified opportunities, new-business sales, customer expansion, and gross profit that can reasonably be connected to specific growth sources.

Growth Measurement and Attribution

The purpose of marketing measurement is to determine which growth activities deserve additional investment and which should be changed or discontinued.

eXpress badging® will progressively improve attribution so that new opportunities can be connected to a primary acquisition source or growth motion. Core acquisition-source categories should include:

  • PPC and paid search
  • Organic website and content
  • Outbound calling
  • HubSpot email marketing
  • LinkedIn and social prospecting
  • Direct Sales and strategic account development
  • Existing-customer expansion
  • Referral
  • Manufacturer or partner
  • Conference or event
  • Sponsorship
  • Other identifiable sources

Acquisition Source and Conversion Method should be tracked separately when practical. For example, PPC may create the website visit while a Sinapi form captures and converts the lead. Sinapi should therefore be measurable as a conversion method without obscuring the channel that originally generated the prospect. Other conversion methods may include phone, direct email, the online shopping store, or another identifiable customer response path.

The company will focus less on activity volume alone and more on whether an activity creates qualified commercial outcomes.

Priority outcomes include:

  • Qualified opportunities created
  • Qualified pipeline created
  • New-business sales
  • Existing-customer expansion
  • Won revenue
  • Gross profit generated
  • Customer acquisition cost, where measurable
  • Long-term customer value, where measurable
  • Source and channel contribution

This framework is intended to improve management visibility without assuming that every sale can be attributed perfectly to a single marketing touch.

Growth Scorecard

The Bloom Growth Scorecard should provide Leadership with a concise view of whether the company's growth engine is creating enough qualified demand and pipeline.

The scorecard should prioritize a small number of management-level KPIs rather than attempting to report every marketing activity.

Recommended Growth Scorecard measures are:

Growth KPI Management Purpose
New Qualified Opportunities Measures whether marketing and Sales are creating legitimate new buying conversations.
New Qualified Pipeline Created Measures the dollar value of newly created opportunity potential.
New-Logo Opportunities Separates new-customer growth from existing-account activity.
Existing-Customer Expansion Opportunities Measures account penetration and cross-selling potential.
Partner or Referral Opportunities Measures manufacturer, partner, and referral contribution.
Strategic Face-to-Face Meetings Measures deliberate key-account and key-prospect relationship activity.
Marketing-Sourced Opportunities Measures opportunities traceable to marketing-generated demand.
Won New-Business Sales Measures realized new-business growth.

Supporting channel reports can then be used to evaluate PPC, Sinapi, outbound calling, email marketing, events, sponsorships, partner activity, website performance, and other individual investments.

Channel Testing and Resource Allocation

Marketing investments should be treated as manageable growth bets rather than permanent entitlements to budget.

The company will continue to test and evaluate current and future growth channels, including:

  • PPC investment
  • Website and shopping-store improvements
  • Sinapi forms and website conversion paths
  • Outbound calling
  • SalesIntel-supported prospecting
  • HubSpot email campaigns
  • LinkedIn prospecting
  • Strategic customer and prospect travel
  • Manufacturer and partner events
  • Select industry conferences
  • HR-focused events where the target audience and economics justify evaluation
  • Sponsorship opportunities
  • New vertical or market-development campaigns

The management objective is to identify which channels should be scaled, continued, modified, or stopped based on their contribution to qualified pipeline, new-business sales, gross profit, and strategic market positioning.

The company should avoid adding new growth channels simply because they are available. New investments should compete for resources against the performance of existing channels.

Governance and Review

The Marketing Plan is owned jointly by Leadership, Sales, and Marketing, with clear accountability for maintaining alignment between strategy, spending, pipeline creation, and profitable growth.

The company will use HubSpot as the primary system for customer, prospect, opportunity, and marketing-source visibility, supported by the Bloom Growth Scorecard for management review.

Marketing performance should be reviewed as part of the company's normal operating rhythm so that Leadership can answer four questions:

  1. Are we creating enough qualified opportunities and pipeline to support our growth objectives?
  2. Which growth channels are producing the strongest commercial results?
  3. Which investments should receive more resources, and which should be modified or stopped?
  4. Are we growing profitably while strengthening our position as a solutions and platform provider?

This plan should evolve as eXpress badging® gains better attribution data, introduces its next-generation SaaS ID management platform, expands target-market knowledge, and learns which growth motions are most effective on the path toward $10 million in revenue.
